Calcasieu Parish Short Film Festival!

Sulphur, LA

This weekend at the Brimstone Museum Annex will be full of excellent short films ranging from action to comedy. The Calcasieu Parish Short Film Festival will be taking place from 10AM to 6PM with an awards ceremony starting promptly at six.

On Friday evening beginning at 7PM, an informal mixer will be taking place where you’ll get the chance to talk shop with fellow filmmakers, writers, actors, and film fanatics. The mixer will be held at Rikenjaks on Ryan Street in Lake Charles.

The festival will feature local, national, and international entries. If you’ve attended this festival before, you’ll probably recognize a few of the folks involved with many of this year’s film selection.

Be sure to make it out to this wonderful event this weekend. I plan on attending on Saturday and hope to make it out to the mixer as well. This event is a great way to meet and mingle with some excellent people and check out their hard work in film.

I’ve attended previous editions of this festival and it is always a blast. The best part is that this festival is FREE to attend! I hope to see some of you at the Calcasieu Parish Short Film Festival this weekend. If you do attend, track me down and say hello!

Thanks for taking the time to read my post. I’m sorry that I haven’t been as active lately, but I’ve had personal problems and a few laptop issues as well. I plan on getting more posts completed in the upcoming weeks and possibly a review of a few more films.
